I'd go with the Mac and the windows partition, because that is what I am running right now on my Mac, and it works great. This way I can test my codes on all browsers.

I'd use Linux for coding purposes only for one specific reason; it's free.

well with in game programming my computer runs windows but when i have made a game or want to test a certian part i got to my friends houes and test on the OS

i would go with mac for website sutff and its go some great software on that side
but i dont have a mac so i have to use windows but i do tend to use Liunx more for the php stuff as it got some great tools for doing that coding

I vote OS X. Macs are more user friendly and the gradients blend more smoothly. I'd choose it for more than just coding.

| dude... fail. first off Linux is not a virus farm like windows and mac is. Secondly although it is a free software does not mean in any purpose that it's best for coding. Linux also holds programs where you can create and test programs right in the kernel. Very handy and by far the greatest choice if you want to test and make codes. If you code on windows you risk getting virus's during the test and furthermore windows will cause problems in allowing you to create the codes in the first place. Linux is obviously for many reasons a greater choice therefore that is what I definitely picked.

Windows 7. I think it depends on what you are coding. If I want to work on an OS, I would choose Linux. But I prefer Windows for everything else. And if I had to choose, It would be Vista if you have a good computer.
